This picture of Ben with Foxy was taken in April of 2005, just a month before he passed away. Posted by Picasa

We all love you Ben!

This is Ben Scott, he was my boyfriends stepfather up until May 11, 2005 when he passed away in his Ramona home. Posted by Picasa

Benjamin E. Scott, was 74 yrs. old when he passed away. He was born June 21, 1930 , in Harrisburg, Oregon. He had lived in Ramona since 1979. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired cabinetmaker after 40 years, but working with his hands continued to be his passion.
He enjoyed working with woods and metals. As well as building fine pieces of furniture and cabinetry, he built many gadgets and even restored ofl funiture.
He is remembered by his family as a caring, loving man who was easy to talk with. Many locals will miss his daily rides through town in his wheelchair, eventlually ending up at the doughnut shop.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julia Scott of Ramona; his daughter Karen (Laurent)Thomas of Santa Barbara; Son James Scott of California; Stepdaughters Denise M. Domingo of El cajon and Stephanie A. (Steve) McCoy of Ramona; stepsons Anthony M. Kinney Of El cajon and Darryl S. (Cassandra) Kinney of San Diego; brother Leroy (Jackie) Tinsley of Oklahoma City, Okla:; three grandchildren, Sarah, Lauren, and Eric; seven stepgrand-children, Leland, Daniel, Alan, Valerie, Ian, Steven, and Jennifer; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were held at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona May 18th, 2005

And I also want to add that from my personal experiences of knowing Ben just in the short time that I did, he was a Very nice and pleasant person to be around, he'd go everywhere in his wheel chair with his little campanion dog Foxy on his lap. Anyone that had met Ben for the first time said that they felt like they've known him forever because he was so nice and easy to get along with, and was so very true. He loved collecting license plates and different sounding horns. He also had his own shop on his property that he enjoyed very much working in all the time, and Ben he could make damn near anything!
We all loved him and miss him very much! God rest your soul Ben!

My Mom's Memorial

Up above on the left is a picture of my mom back in 1951 when she was 34 yrs. old and just 5 yrs. before she had me, the picture on top on the right side was mom and I at Christmas when I was 3 yrs. old.

The middle picture on the left side is of what I think heaven looks like, the middle picture on the right is called the "Stairway to Heaven" in which I believe that God took my mom by the hand and said "Come and visit me for a while"

She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 16, 1917, her nickname was Dolly because when she was born she was so small and cute she looked just like a doll. So from then on my Aunt always called her Dolly. She lived with her Stepmother and Dad until she was 18 yrs. old. Until she was 18 she had worked picking cotton for a while and then worked in a Cannery packing tuna, she also worked for George Pernicano for a while doing ironing for him. She has lived in Pacific Beach on Hornblend for a while, where she met and got married to William E. Lowrie, where she had my brother William and my sister Patricia. Then got a divorice from William Lowrie Sr. Then met my dad George A. Schlehofer and had me, Then moved to Moore St. until I was 4 yrs. old, and then my mom got a divorice from my dad, and that's when we moved into a little duplex in Five Points, where she met my Stepfather Richard Lyle Johnson, fell in love and married when I was 5 yrs. old, and then moved into a house in Clairemont at 3838 Onate St. We lived there for quite some time, I think until I was like 11 yrs old. Then they sold the house and bought a Mobile Home and moved to Spring Vally at the Lamplighter Village in space 234 when I was 11 yrs. old and lived there until the first half of 15 yrs.old then sold our Mobile Home and then moved to Old Town on San Diego Ave. at the Casa Manor Apartments (which now no longer exists), and that's where my Stepfather took off in his car to visit his parents. and got killed and a car accident in Winterhaven on the way to Kansas City, MO. where his parents lived, and due to drunk driving he went over the center isle ramp and got thrown out of the car as he rolled it, needless to say my mom was devistated when she got the news about what happend to her husband and almost had a nervous breakdown over it, then we moved out when I was 16, and moved to Clairemont in San Diego and there we lived together til I moved out and moved in with Douglas P. Copley in which I was very much in love with. and almost had a baby with him until I had a miscarriage in my third month of pregnancy in which my mom was by my side every moment of my miscarriage. She was always a very supportive mom in all circumstances
I wanted to post this in Memory of my mom, I'm doing it in purple because that was one of her favorite colors. She passed away on Oct. 1, 2005. She was living at a nursing home in Rancho Bernardo and unfortunitely she had Alzheimers Disease before she passed away. She was 88 My mom and I were really close. We've had many fun times together like going out dancing every Saturday night. And doing jigsaw puzzles, paint by number pictures and other things. She was a very good mom and everyone loved her. I remember when I was around 7 or 8 yrs. old all my friends used to call her mom also. She had a very good sense of humor and very good natured, I guess I inherited alot of her traits. She used to work for George Pernacano along time ago before she even had me. I remember she used to get dressed up just to go to the grocery store even.

My Son James w/My Grand-daughter Amandalynn

Here is my first born son, his name is James, And on the far right side is a picture of James's dad, James Jr.in the middle and myself pregnant with my second son Tim.. I had James when I was 22 yrs.old, he weighed 9 lbs.and 1 oz. and he was 22 in. long.
He now works for Life Deck, he loves his daughter, his family and his job.
There up above on the left is a picture of James holding his baby daughter Amandlynn, she is 5 yrs. old now and smart as a whip! She's such a cutie! She loves school and likes to help the teacher. I'm so very proud to have her as my 1st.Grand-daughter.

If you want to check out what beautiful work they do at Life Deck, visit:

James and his brother Tim have always been real close as brothers and friends, and James being 2 yrs. and 2 weeks exactly apart in birthdays James would always watch out for his younger brother Tim.
I remember one time when they were walking to school and Tim happened to trip on fall and cutting his knee on a piece of glass about 1/4 mile from home, Well James picked his little brother Tim up and carried him all the way back home to get bandaged up!
Those two are still close to this day, and it makes me so happy as their mom that it brings tears to my eyes everytime I think about how they look out for each other, like brothers are suppose too! I am so Very Proud of both my sons and love them VERY MUCH!

My Son Tim w/Shauna & My 2 Grand-children Kaylee & Carson

This is my son Tim when he was 15 yrs. old, but of course he's now 25 yrs. old. Him and his girlfriend Shauna have 2 children of their own Kaylee which is 2 yrs. old and Carson which is now 8 mos. old.
Tim is now in business for himself doing electrical and putting up and taking down pre-fabricated homes. I'm very proud of my son Tim.
He has also done a couple of Documentaries for the History Channel on Jesse James and played as Jesse James's side kick and also played as Arkansas Tom on another History Channel Documentary.

Up above on the right is Tim & Shauna's daughter Kaylee, she is celebrating her 1 yr. birthday in that picture! and wear her cake rather than eat it!
Up above in the center is a picture of Tim and Shauna which was taken a little over a year ago.
Up above in the left hand corner is a picture of Kaylee & Carson (Carson's sleeping).

Just thought I'd share these Beautiful Sunsets with you!

Things that I like doing & Seeing!

I like drawing pictures of animals and mountains and space scenes. And doing my crafting projects like making earrings and bracelets and things like that with beads and shells.
I love it when it rains really heavy because I love the sound of rain and the way the air smells when it rains and how is cleanes the earth. And I love looking at mountains, I think mountains are AWESOME!, there so beautiful and majestic! and looking at Sunsets, I think their Soooo Beautiful.
I love hearing babies and little children laugh, it's like music to my ears, it has a way of cheering me up.
I also love to look at pictures of Ireland, in hopes that someday I'll be able to travel there, and to Scotland and Holland.

I also love to see Firetrucks, especially the ones with the driver in the back also that has the BIG old ladder on it! I would LOVE to get a ride in one of those someday!
I love trains to, not so much the new ones but the old ones are the ones I love the most, I guess that all started when I was 3 yrs. old and used to live about 100 yrds. from the railroad tracks down on Moore St. in San Diego. For the people that live in San Diego and know where that Liquor Store is on Rosecrans on the right side right after you go under that bridge, well anyway Moore St. is the street that's right after that Liquor Store. But when I lived there it was in 1959 when there wasn't anything else there except for some old Trailers with the first VitaPak (I think that's what it was called) Orange Juice Place which was in a garage at the time.
Anyway, I used to go to sleep listening to the train going by every night. And in the daytime I'd always wave at the conductor and he'd wave back at me. That's when my mom had our first Black & White T.V, you know the kind with the Green screen. And that place is where that picture was taken in "My Moms Memorial" post where her and I are sitting on the floor together at Christmas.

Me & My Dog Brutus

Here is a picture of my dog, my faithful companion and pal, his name is Brutus! he's a Schnauzer & Cairin Terrier mix. My boyfriend Tony and I have had him since he was 3 months old. Although his name was Kieoki when we first got him, he was born on April 8, 1997. The top left hand corner is a picture of Brutus at 5 months old, only 2 months after we got him when his name was still Kieoki. He was a cutie isn't he? He's surely a pleasure to have around. Now he's 8 yrs. old. He loves watching T.V too! he gets all excited when he sees other animals on T.V. His favorites are horses and other Dogs. And when he gets excited he always wants a bisquit or treats! He's also a gluten for attention. He loves going for rides especially to the mountains in which the 2 other pictures were taken and loves going to the beach to chase the seagulls.
